Welcome to Bonggot POS. Your business privacy is our top priority. This policy outlines how we handle your information within the application.
1. Information Collection
- User Accounts: We store your name and email only to manage your license and sync settings.
- Business Data: All your sales, inventory, and transaction records are stored locally on your device's secure database. We do not sell or share this data.
2. Permissions & Usage
To provide full POS functionality, the app requires the following permissions:
- Location: Required by Android strictly to discover and connect to nearby Bluetooth thermal printers. We do not track or store your physical location.
- Photos/Media: Required only to allow you to upload product photos or store logos from your gallery. We do not access your personal photos.
- Camera: Strictly for scanning product barcodes. No photos or videos are secretly recorded or saved.
- Storage: To save and restore database backups in your local storage (e.g.,
Download/bonggotposbackup folder).
3. Data Backups
- Gmail Backup: Users can manually or automatically send encrypted backups to their personal Gmail. We do not have access to your email content or inbox.
- Local Backup: Backups saved on your phone stay under your total control and responsibility.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You have the right to request deletion of your server-side account data (license and email). You may do this via the "Request Account Deletion" button in the app settings or by contacting us directly. Uninstalling the app and deleting the backup folder will remove all local data.
